Happy Birthday Wayne & They Really Do Come Home

This past week we also celebrated Wayne's b-day.  Although when you get as old as we do basically the only celebrating we do is go out to dinner.  Wayne loves Macaroni Grill so that is where we went.  We wrote a little message to Bridger as we all feel of his absence especially as we always go as a family on b-days.  Although he wasn't there with us in person, he is always with us in our hearts and thoughts.  And we always talk about what we think he is doing at that exact moment.

Today was a wonderful day.  We went to Cedar Hills to see the missionary that trained Bridger report his mission.  Was it strange that we had never met these people before, nope.  I felt like we had a very strong connection and common interest and so we went.  This handsome young man was the one human being that had seen Bridger last and I wanted to just hug him and ask him how he was doing.  How was his Spanish? It answered all my questions and I was very proud to hear Elder Petersen say what a hard worker he was, how his Spanish was getting really good and how much he loved our son and brother.  And bonus, he sent home letters to each of us and bracelets for the boys to wear just like all those in Honduras wear.  It was a wonderful day.  Do I still miss him, yep!  Did I shed tears again when I read the letter he sent home thanking me for just being his mom, absolutely.  But wouldn't trade it for anything!!!

Two awesome dads who didn't know each other until their son's met and are now best friends from the MTC.  We love this family and consider them one of the blessings from Bridger's serving a mission.
The whole gang, Morgan came with us, too.  It was fun to have another girl with us.  This is something we never have, but hope she comes around more often.
Elder Josh Petersen, yep another one  this one with an "e" n.  Bridger wrote home how this is the missionary he will want to become.  He was a great missionary in Bridger's eyes.  Thank you so much for training him and showing him how it means to serve all the way to the end with all your heart, might mind and strength.  Welcom Home Elder Petersen!
