This past month our stake was able to participate in the SL Youth Parade and the Bountiful Days of 47 Parade, (that's another post entirely of it's own to come shortly) Anyway, both parades had a pioneer theme of then and now which we incorporated into the theme of our float to be; "Family Dinner, a Valuable Tradition." We decorated a small trailer with a family eating dinner dressed in pioneer era clothing and on the opposite side was a modern day family eating almost the same dinner in a today setting. We passed out flyers with benefits of family dinner and organizing tips to accomplish this. Along with the flyer was posted a new blog that will give recipes, ideas, etc of helping families get started. Mine could use a little help too. Life gets crazy and now more than ever it's time to come back together and "talk" around the dinner table. So, with this said, please go to this new blog. Maybe with some of my friends posting it to their blogs we will start having some followers and get this up and running.
