Catching Up...

Since I have relocated my camera, I will make an attempt to update the happenings at our house in the last few weeks.

Soaring with the eagles....well almost...

It is required at our house for you to earn your Eagle Scout award before you can get your temporary driving licence permit. So, Stetson has been ready to earn his with only a project to do. His was to gather children's books, coloring books, crayons, pencils, paper, puzzles, games, etc. for the children who attend Adelaide Elementary school for their evacuation emergency plan. In the event of an emergency where the children would have to be relocated to the church, there was not much for them to do. Stetson organized his troop, passed out flyers and gathered items from people's homes. He was able to collect seven totes of things to keep the children entertained. I hope they never have to be used, if you know what I mean. Now, he just needs to get it signed off, delivered and read the handbook and he will be able to drive, with a licensed driver of course...scary.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CALEB

I can hardly believe my baby is eleven. Where does the time go??? I can't get my scanner to work, but thought you'd like to see a picture of him when he was six months. He was the happiest baby and still is one of the happiest kids around. Caleb was born just two months after my sister, Jody passed away from cancer. He let us know that there was still good and happiness in this world. He has always been so full of life and we absolutely love him. For his b-day we went to the movie with a couple of his friends, and then back home to have another of his favs, the Costco chocolate cake. I don't have pictures of this, as my camera was not found until later that evening. Caleb loves Olive Garden and wanted to go on his b-day, but Bridger was working so decided to wait until everyone could go, so we went on Thursday eve. Caleb loves shrimp alfredo, and as you can see, he was not disappointed. Anyway, Happy Birthday Pal, I hope it was a fun day.

Lost and now...FOUND!

My camera has been located. A couple of weeks ago, we had a Summer social at a good friends home. I took a few things that day one of which was camera. I never took any pictures while I was there, and so I never remembered even having it there.

Last night, Suzette called and told me how they had noticed it, but thought it was her husbands, and then he asked who's it was. Long of the short, it was mine. HOORAY!!! I did learn a valuable lesson, put my name on it.

Life just got better, the one thing I am grateful for is the clean cupboards, closets, and car that I now have while searching for it.

Oh, and we went to Cherry Hill today with Caleb and Stetson and my sister and her kids, and because I was used to not having it, forgot it. Now we'll have to go again...I'm sure I won't have to talk to hard to get them to go again.

Where? oh where? could my camera be...???

I'm still looking for that darn camera. It's been two weeks since I've been looking. Still haven't found it. However, I have clean closets, drawers, car, etc. I think I have most of the pictures on my computer at work, however, Stetson's Eagle project pictures are what I'm most sad about.

I have to say, I've been asked more times than most, where did you last have it? You know if I knew, I probably wouldn't have been looking for it for so long. Do I buy a new one and hope that brings my old one back home?

Anyway, until then, our lives are not documented as much as they used to be. I really need it tomorrow as it's Caleb's b-day. Maybe I'll get a b-day present for me tomorrow, too:)

Please, really I just want my old one back.

Tales of a Fourth Grade Somebody...Caleb

He is such a cute boy...I just love him.

Caleb is the one with the coonskin hat on. My camera is terrible at far away. I had a friend take pictures for me, and when I get them I'll post better ones. He really wouldn't admit it, but it was a great program and he did a good job at singing and knowing all the actions to each song.

I love the end of a school year, all the fun things happen. In the last couple of weeks here a some pics from Caleb's adventures as a fourth grader. I don't have much info to write as it was Wayne who was able to go with him. They had a great time at Fort Buenoventura in Ogden. This was definately something they both enjoyed and felt right at home.

This is what happens when you get a too big of pizza for your oven. Just FYI the Family Size pizza from Papa Murphy's didn't fit our oven. Just a hair too big, the only thing I can think is that it touched both the front and back and when it heated, it expanded and broke the window of my oven. Now, mind you it's fixable; but $152.00 later we got a new window, which to be honest, I was perfectly happy with the old one. And to make matters worse, when the man put it in, he neglected to wipe off his fingerprints and they glare at me every time I put something in the oven. I have an appointment this week to have him come back and if he did it, which how else would they have gotten there, then I don't have to pay. But, if they are not his, then there will be a charge. I may need some forensic stuff to prove my case. Where's Matlock when I need him?

This past week we were able to go attend Honors Night at South Davis. Stetson received the President's Gold Award, which means, he maintained a 3.75-4.0 average for his entire junior high experience. With the exception of two terms, he earned a 4.0. He also received the High Honor award and the National Junior Honor Society Award.

Wayne and I were quite proud, all of our boys are excellent students and it's times like these that remind us just how blessed we are.

Totally WICKED!!!

Last night I did something I have wanted to do for quite a long time. The production of WICKED is in Salt Lake. I wanted to get tickets but it was next to impossible. One day while sitting at the computer and browsing KSL.com, I spotted someone looking to trade one ticket as his wife was not able to attend. I quickly emailed him and asked if he wasn't able to trade, would he consider selling. He said he would do that, so for $80.00 I purchased one ticket. I was so excited, even if I would be going alone.

Wayne took me to dinner and then dropped me off at the front door, I went in found my seat and waited for the show to begin. I did sit by a really nice couple from Idaho Falls who were so kind and kept me company until it began. Can I just tell you, it didn't matter that I was by myself...it was AMAZING! I have heard and sung some of the songs from the production, but they take on a whole new meaning after you've seen the show.

I loved it. I'm now ready to go and stand in the "lottery" and try and go again. It was a great night, and when it was over, Wayne picked me up at the front door and drove me back home. I couldn't have asked for better vip service.

Easter Weekend

We have always celebrated the commercial part of Easter on Saturday so the Savior can be the main focus on Sunday. This year we had our friend Holly Hyde take family pictures on Saturday at Gardner Village. She did a great job and I'm excited to see the results. Gone are the days of matching outfits and coordination. I was just lucky to get them there. Thanks Holly.

Easter Sunday was a wonderful day to remember the Atonement and the promise of eternal life. We invited the missionaries, Elder Hansen and Elder Guenther to enjoy Easter dinner with us. We love the missionaries and are sad that Elder Hansen will be transfered on Wednesday. However, Elder Guenther will stay and another great Elder will step in.
