Totally WICKED!!!

Last night I did something I have wanted to do for quite a long time. The production of WICKED is in Salt Lake. I wanted to get tickets but it was next to impossible. One day while sitting at the computer and browsing KSL.com, I spotted someone looking to trade one ticket as his wife was not able to attend. I quickly emailed him and asked if he wasn't able to trade, would he consider selling. He said he would do that, so for $80.00 I purchased one ticket. I was so excited, even if I would be going alone.

Wayne took me to dinner and then dropped me off at the front door, I went in found my seat and waited for the show to begin. I did sit by a really nice couple from Idaho Falls who were so kind and kept me company until it began. Can I just tell you, it didn't matter that I was by myself...it was AMAZING! I have heard and sung some of the songs from the production, but they take on a whole new meaning after you've seen the show.

I loved it. I'm now ready to go and stand in the "lottery" and try and go again. It was a great night, and when it was over, Wayne picked me up at the front door and drove me back home. I couldn't have asked for better vip service.

Easter Weekend

We have always celebrated the commercial part of Easter on Saturday so the Savior can be the main focus on Sunday. This year we had our friend Holly Hyde take family pictures on Saturday at Gardner Village. She did a great job and I'm excited to see the results. Gone are the days of matching outfits and coordination. I was just lucky to get them there. Thanks Holly.

Easter Sunday was a wonderful day to remember the Atonement and the promise of eternal life. We invited the missionaries, Elder Hansen and Elder Guenther to enjoy Easter dinner with us. We love the missionaries and are sad that Elder Hansen will be transfered on Wednesday. However, Elder Guenther will stay and another great Elder will step in.

Grandma's Bridge

My grandma's backyard is amazing. She has a creek that runs right through it and it's shaded and wooded and is just, for lack of a better word, amazing. All of us seem to come to this place and take pictures on the bridge. This past Sunday I decided it was time to go and pay her and the bridge a visit.

I love my grandma. She is in her 80's and still remembers everyone and everything. In fact, she is the glue that keeps us all together. If we want to know what's going on in the family, we visit grandma for an update.

We had such a great visit, we looked at old photo albums and laughed and reminisced. We love you Grandma. We'll try and be better at visiting.

Happiness

Today has been such a beautiful day it always makes me have the cleaning itch. So, while cleaning out a drawer I came across this saying, it used to be so true and still is. I love when Wayne, and the boys come home from work and school. Thought I'd share it with my friends, here it is:

There is no greater happiness for a man than approaching a door at the end of the day knowing someone on the other side of that door is waiting for the sound of his footsteps.

Sometimes those footsteps didn't come fast enough, if you know what I mean.

A Fun and Cold Night of Camping

Wayne, Stetson and Caleb went with the scouts this past weekend to Crystal Hot Springs...brrr!!! Not sure why they seem to enjoy these type of cold activities, but they had a great time. Thank heavens for a great scout master with a few tricks to keep them warm with heated water bottles. They swam, had a camp fire, and slept fairly well...still sounds cold to me.

Well, Bridger didn't win his election. He has a great atttitude and will be just fine. I'm proud of him for trying. Better to have tried and failed, then never to have tried at all. I love you Bridger, we'll get'em next time.
